In 1999, SiamMandalay, a trading and logistics company in Thailand, was at a cross roads. It simply couldn’t keep track of all the moving pieces of its rapidly growing business. At a dizzying pace, products were entering and leaving its fulfillment center in Thailand en route to a myriad of global destinations. Clients wanted to know where their products were and when they were expected to arrive. Sales executives needed real time information regarding available inventory. Suppliers needed to know about orders in the pipeline in order to secure raw materials and shorten production lead times. There was no software package in the market to manage the information associated with the Company’s needs. No company could be found to create a customized solution. And the orders kept coming...

In order to solve this problem, SiamMandalay’s founder, Steven Prussky, a software developer by background, began to develop his own customized software solution to address his company’s ever demanding logistics needs. Recognizing the commercial demand for business operations software, the growing trend for companies to outsource their technology needs and the explosive growth potential in the global technology market, SiamMandalay created a new technology division, SM Technologies.
In 2003, SiamMandalay spun off SM Technologies and Aware Corporation Limited (“Aware”) was born.
Aware is a Technology Solutions company based in Thailand competing globally in the fast growing Information Technology (“IT”) and Software (“IS” Information Systems) industries. Aware services the small-to-medium enterprise sector (“SME”) as well as departments of large multi-national corporations. Aware’s IT business consists of IT Product Sales and IT Services. Aware’s IS business consists of outsourced Software Project Staffing, Custom Software Development and the development, sale and support of a variety of internally built, commercial Software Products.
Today Aware has over 250 employees with offices located in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Aware’s client base is well over 100 companies located around the world, including the United States, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Dubai, France and England. |
