Chaipattana Transport Chiang Mai Company Limited, also known as Greenbus Thailand, is a leading transportation provider that has services covering all of Thailand. With over 2,000,000 customers and 50,000 trips annually, managing an operation at this scale requires a robust technology backbone including their own Road Transport Safety Management system which is a GPS on buses to improve the efficiency of performance and deliver impressive customer service. As the company's slogan says, “Green Bus cares about every journey.”

Business Demands


Greenbus Thailand's core business consists of:


1. Bus service with tickets sold on several channels, such as at the passenger terminal, through sales agents, through the call center, on the website, and on the Mobile Application where customers can pay in cash via credit card, via bank account, QR Code and Counter service.


2. Full package delivery service which is convenient, fast, and can be tracked.


3. Full-service car rental (chartered) services for travel and tours covering all over Thailand.

With complete, comprehensive, and diverse services, the company has experienced rapid growth. But before reaching this point, it has undergone many adjustments. Both in terms of data management and back-end operations for both the sales and the management of buses to better understand budget expenditure for maximum efficiency.

The more the business grows, the confidence of the customers and the company's stakeholders also needs to be increased. Therefore, it is imperative that the company improve its information technology system to be effective, have international standards, and be able to support future business expansion.

Solutions

Aware has been consulting and structuring all information systems for Greenbus since 2004, making the adaptations necessary in Greenbus's business that must keep them progressing. This makes it possible for us to understand the most suitable technological transformation, most in line with the current requirements for the business. Therefore, we proposed to them to consider a project to improve the user experience of all parts of the system.

By migrating data/applications to AWS using CloudEndure Migration, and moving their complete fleet management, and sales migration from an on-premises model to AWS Cloud via EC2-based storage with AWS backup.

This increased the availability of the customer's application, and it also helps the application to run on the hardware more efficiently, this can be quickly expanded to support the use of customers, able to create satisfaction for customers in using the service. Aware supports project execution at every stage and provides continued ongoing support and consultancy.
