There is no getting around the fact that the communications landscape is shifting towards social media and this has ultimately changed the way we interact. The biggest change in how we interact due to social media is the sheer number of people that we can communicate with. In the past you were limited largely to people that you knew in person, today you can communicate with people from all over the world.

Thailand has seen large increases in social media adoption, mobile penetration and the emergence of social business models. Facebook is the biggest social network in Thailand, with 26% of the population using it. Businesses have also begun to see the importance of social media and how it can be leveraged to reach out to customers. When it comes to social marketing to the Thai market, Facebook is key, as over 25 million local fans are engaging with the top 20 brands on Facebook.

Here at Aware, we have created our own in-house social media interactive app as we recognize the fact that social media is part of our business as it enables us to be connected with each other and with the growing number of offices that we have around the world, social media will play a more vital role in providing innovation for the business.
