Job Description:

Maintain virtualization platform and available compute and storage resources to provide virtual machines to internal customers for various business purposes

Provide, configure, upgrade and secure hardware and operating systems for physical and virtual servers to ensure a stable basis for IT services

Ensure the continued availability of critical data by scheduling regular backups, monitor their execution and restoring data on demand

Regularly check for problems and irregularities in the monitoring system and relevant system logs

Investigate and efficiently resolve incidents pertaining to unavailability, malfunction or performance issues

Perform problem management by analysis of recurring incidents and attempt permanent resolution

Process changes in line with the given change management framework.

Prepare regular reports about system availability, performance and service level achievements

Apply relevant security policies and keep up to date with emerging security threats and security management best practices to ensure that systems are secure and protected

Continuously look for possible improvements and innovations in the infrastructure and applications to keep the system up to date with technological changes
