20 Mar WHAT THE CEO IS READING – CULTURE: WHY IT’S THE HOTTEST TOPIC IN BUSINESS TODAY
Thanks to social media, a company’s employment brand is now public information, if you’re not a great place to work, people find out fast. Sites like Glassdoor, and Linked-in and local Thai forum Pantip have helped shift the power into the hands of job-seekers; employees have more bargaining power than ever before. So it’s easy to understand why new Deloitte research shows that culture, engagement, and employee retention are now the top talent challenges facing business leaders, with more than half business leaders rating this issue “urgent”. Merriam Webster’s dictionary stated that ”culture” was the 2014 word of the year, and it has now become one of the most important words in corporate board rooms.
